Unit4 positioned as a Major Player by new IDC MarketScape in cloud enabled procurement applications

We’re very pleased to announce that Unit4 has been named as a Major Player in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide SaaS and Cloud-Enabled Procurement Applications 2023 Vendor Assessment (doc #US48785722, March 2023).

This is an amazing achievement, as it’s the first joint effort presenting our Unit4 Procurement and Scanmarket Source-to-Contract Solution together following our recent welcoming of Scanmarket to the Unit4 family, and we couldn’t be happier with the result.

The state of procurement

The new IDC MarketScape profiles the procurement space in a period of increased activity, in which the procurement practitioner has a much elevated role and larger platform than ever before. The space is also much more vibrant for application providers – with functionality improving apace and new multiple new entrants coming to market.

There’s been a great trend towards procurement digitization that’s helping midmarket and smaller firms to overcome their dependence on spreadsheets and email to manage and track sourcing, procurement, category management, and supplier relationship management activity.

What does the IDC MarketScape have to say about the Unit4 offering?

The IDC MarketScape recognizes Unit4 for our highly configurable platform and the tremendous value reported by client references. It also notes that users have reported that our platform is easy to implement.

Our client references cite implementation processes that proceed without major issues and which were completed in a relatively short time frame. We’re pleased that our commitment to streamlining implementation is paying off.

The report also notes that our recent acquisition of Scanmarket brings a trusted source-to-contract solution and a large customer base to Unit4, which makes Unit4 an attractive spend management platform for those clients seeking to accelerate their digital transformation journey.

Our new customer success management (CSM) program has also been well received by references, who report that they feel the CSMs are heavily invested in the success of the platform and are strongly client focused. We’re delighted that our CSM team has received special mention like this and believe it’s a reflection of our commitment to our customers’ successful integration and use of our solutions.
