Unit4 Achieves Global ISO Certification Expansion

from  September 16, 2024 | 4 min read

Unit4 is committed to maintaining high standards in both quality management and information security. We're excited to announce that our journey toward global certification has reached a significant milestone.

We are now certified globally to ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 27001 (Security), internationally recognized standards that are externally audited.

This latest development is the culmination of our continued expansion of certifications, which now formally cover the entire company across all functions and regions.

Expanding Our Certification Framework

Before 2022, Unit4 had localized certifications focused primarily on operations. As Unit4 grew and evolved, so did our approach to quality and security management.

In 2023, we unified these local certifications into a global Information Security Management System (ISMS), extending its coverage to include not only our operational teams but also our R&D teams.

Now, in 2024, we’ve taken the next major step. We’ve expanded our UK Quality Framework to cover the entire organization and extended our global ISMS to encompass the whole company.

This expansion ensures that all teams across all regions and departments operate under the same robust quality and security standards.

This holistic approach reinforces our dedication to continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and comprehensive data security. We are proud to now offer a unified standard that delivers enhanced value and trust to our customers worldwide.

What are ISO9001 Quality and ISO27001 Security?

ISO 27001: Information Security Management

Key aspects of ISO 27001

  • Risk Management helps organizations identify potential risks and vulnerabilities and implement security controls to mitigate them.
  • Focuses on protecting information from unauthorized access (confidentiality), ensuring the accuracy and completeness of information (integrity), and ensuring it is accessible to those who need it (availability).
  • Provides a framework for implementing security controls, such as encryption, access control, and data backup, to protect sensitive information.
  • Ensures compliance so that companies meet legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations regarding information security.

Key benefits of ISO 27001

  • Helps protect organizations from cyber threats and data breaches.
  • Builds trust with customers and stakeholders by demonstrating a commitment to information security.
  • Reduces the risk of costly security incidents and ensures compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
